Concept & curatorial approach

Seen & Unseen explored the tension between what is immediately visible and what remains hidden beneath the surface of images. The exhibition questioned how much of a photograph is truly “seen” at first glance and how much reveals itself only through time, attention, and emotional availability.

Rather than offering clear answers, the curatorial approach was built around ambiguity, silence, and pauses. The exhibition invited viewers to slow down and reflect on the layers of meaning that exist beyond the obvious : gestures, absences, emotional traces, and subtle narratives that resist quick consumption.

Exhibition design & execution

The exhibition design emphasized restraint and rhythm. The layout encouraged movement without imposing a fixed reading order, allowing viewers to navigate the space intuitively. Light, spacing, and sequencing were used to create moments of intimacy, separation, and return.

Decisions around scale, placement, and negative space were essential in reinforcing the exhibition’s core idea: that what is absent can be just as powerful as what is present.

Media & press coverage

The exhibition received attention from cultural platforms and photography-focused media, highlighting both the conceptual framework and the sensitivity of the visual approach. Coverage emphasized the dialogue between visibility and absence, as well as the curatorial restraint that allowed the works to speak without overstatement.
